ALTITUDE: 6040 m.
DEGREE: MODERATE EASY

The Mount Yayamary or Montura, located in Cusco in the Vilcanota mountain range, was considered a easy mountain for climbing . We will trek this new route before beginning to climb on our third day. The route is development in a flat valley on 4000 m. We begin in Finaya ( 4700m) since where we can arrive to the base camp (5 hours) . This mountain is considered to easy Climbing because you can attemp the summit from de base camp (5200m) . in the last day we are going to back to Phinaya and Cusco.

ITINERARY

The itinerary is as follows:

DAY 1: Cusco - Sibinacocha - Phinaya (4700m)

The journey begins in the morning 6 a.m.from Cusco…we will pass the peaceful towns of the Vilcanota Valley until arriving to Sicuani 2 hours driving since there we continue to Finaya for 5 more hours arriving to Phinaya at 2 or 3 p.m. when we will be camping , this day we will pass for Sibinacocha laggon the highest and bighest in the Vilcanota range ( 4950 m.a.s.l.) we will enjoy beautifull landscapes mixing lakes and snow carpets mountains like Yayamary, Ccascara, Hapupunta, Chumpe, Pico tres, Ausangate, and many more we espend our first nigth in Phinaya.

DAY 2: Phinaya - base Camp (5200m)

we will have a quiet day ..4 hours walking to the base camp from Phinaya …Exellent mountain view ..moderate slope…we will see a group of mountains in front of the Caccsara lake, our camp site at 5200m.

DAY 3: base camp - first camp ( 5600m)

We arriive at the glacier in 3 hours. the condition of the glaciar are stable no many crevases we find in the route, 2 more hours we arrive to thefirst camp.

DAY 4: first Camp - attemp the summit ( 6040m) - base camp

The most important day beguin in the morning early, at 4 a.m. we will be climbing for 4 hours till the top ( 6040m) affter celebrate we continue walking down to our base camp along 4 more hours, arriving at 4 p.m approx.

DAY 5: base camp - Phinaya - Cusco

The final day…only a 4 hour walk to arrive at Finaya; we will celebrate the ascent with a typical lunch (pachamanca) after we return to Cusco…arriving at approximately at 7 pm.
